In this Sandbox Story perspective piece, I review the key takeaways from the book, “Why We Sleep” by Matthew Walker, PhD. When you sleep well, you are well.
As seen in a recently reported study, an ideal bedtime is between 10 and 11 pm, and it’s clear that this affords an adequate number of hours of sleep. Most of us would love to get nine hours a night, but it's not realistic. The goal has to be to sleep for the same reasons we eat - to remain healthy... to maintain a sound mind and body.
This book blew me away with its insights and education about the connection of sleep. Before you buy it to read it yourself, you can hear my takeaways by checking out the episode about the many stories within “Why We Sleep”!
