Dr. Kenji Hamada has been a tremendous contributor to optometry. He ran a very advanced eye care clinic in Oregon which he grew to a multi-location practice, while also participating as a volunteer at the state, regional, and national level. Along the way he started OOGP, which is still used today by thousands of ODs.
Born in Japan, his family moved to California in his teen years and became Americans. He served in the US Army from 1972-74, where he drove advanced optometric services. Amongst his contributions to optometry was one of the co-founders of GWCO. He has a great passion for golf, especially in retirement.
In this Sandbox Story you will hear his sage advice for eye care practitioners and businesses, learned from nearly 50 years in the profession, and learn of his Mother’s recommendation to be willing to give to others.
